When Bob wrote this morning he didn't tell you about adventure that we had last Tuesday. We were asked to go over to the MTC and play the parts of Investigators for the new Missionaries. It is part of the Preach My Gospel Program. We did the same thing when we were in the MTC in Provo. It scared us when we had to do the teaching. But it was a good lesson for us to see what the missionaries run into. We had to go over after our shift at the temple. And we were there for a couple of hours. They have new missionaries that need that every three weeks. So they asked if we would do it again. We really enjoyed it. The missionaries seem so young and now they can even be younger. We have the them at the temple almost everyday. They come over in small groups with a leader to do sessions. They try to get them to the temple three times before they go out on their assignments. Many come and have not yet been endowed and so we have them doing that the second Thursday of each month. Many of them are here without any family and would have to go to the temple alone. But the church has return missionaries come and spend about 3 to 4 weeks assigned to each new missionary. They help them and are by their side when they go to the temple. They are very important. We had more than 50 young men and I don't know how many women for the first time. All done in one day. It really is something to see. And keeps us hopping. This happens every month. We have two more new senior couples coming this week. One will be serving for a year. They live here. But the other is coming from the states. The couple that come three weeks ago are having a hard time. We work such long hours and they like us were working 5 to 6 hours in the temple they came from. They have been on the afternoon shift. And she thought that they would like the morning shift that we are on. Until I told them what time we have to get up to be there and dressed by 5:30 am. She didn't know if she could do that. It takes a month to get us to the time difference here and it gets dark around 5:30 or 6:00 pm. At first you are so tired that you go to bed by 6 or 7:00 pm. But then you wake up at 2:00 am. And can't get back to sleep. I'm so glad that is all behind Bob and I. We are happy to to able to help at the MTC with the missionaries. As I said we had a good time with it. I hope that we can help prepare them for their missions. They are starting to have them work more with the inactive members. And bring them back into activity. We are getting to know the people in our ward. They are great! We have a few pictures around the temple that I will have Bob put on. Check them out!
