To day is Sunday in the Philippines  we were trying to get ready for church. We meet at 8:30 to drive to our ward in Marikina. When Ann plugged her hair dryer in to the 220 volt plug wow what an explosion the plug was black and Ann's hand was black I thought she had burned her hand but we were lucky she was ok she said I can't go any where with out blow drying my hair but she found out that she could fluff it up with her fingers and with the humidity here her hair curled in to place. So we headed for church it was a wonderful Sacrament meeting the sister that spoke gave her entire talk in English so we could understand everything she said and she gave a wonderful talk . Our Sunday school teacher all ways gives her lesson in English some of the replies from the class are in Tagalog and some times they all laugh and we all wonder what was so funny in priesthood when that happens when we break into our class I ask our group leader what they were all talking about and he explains I think he is beginning to get the idea and explains right when they comment.
The Filipino people are so gracious and loving when we arrive at church they all kind of line up to greet us and shake our hand the children are especially anxious to greet us. The children are very cute little things brown skin dark eyes and hair there parents dress them very nice. The moms and dads are very proud of there children here and are anxious to tell you of all there accomplishments education is very important to them.We was talking to a brother before meeting started he said hie daughter was going to to play the closing hymn in sacrament meeting Ann said that it is hard to get them to practise he said that in this case he had taken away her free agency then he laughed. I think that if I had to I could drive to our ward house because on Sunday the traffic is only bad not almost impossible. coming home there is one place it seems like we drive through the covered parking lot of the mall to get to the main road. There is never a time when you are not surrounded buy cars but on Sunday at least you can move forward.Tomorrow we are going on a little drive to a place they call the wa wa dam I hope we can get some pictures to share. they have been putting lights on all the trees and bushes around the temple I think that it will be beautiful I asked one of the workers when they turn them on and if he understood me correctly they will turn them on on December 1 This is the second time I have tried to write this little blog message I wanted to put some pictures on with it but I lost the whole thing so I will try to publish it then if I can I will try to edit it and put some pictures on
