On December 22 the Temple president excused Ann and I and sister and brother Morby who work on the early morning shift at 11:30. And brother and sister Barfuss and brother and sister Bush who work on the after noon shift to go to the stake center to deliver gifts that all of the senior missionaries here in the Manila temple mission had donated both time and money to prepare for the missionaries. This first group was from the Quezon City mission there was about 175 brothers and 25 sister missionaries that received a gift. The gift was a temple envelope with the Manila Temple embroidered on them and also there name was embroidered on them they also received a package of cookies and a package of tooth brushes and some candy canes and some Christmas cards with a testimony and some other encouraging remarks written on them. They were so appreciative. There mission president told us that some of the missionaries from India had never received a gift before. Monday we went back to that same stake center and spent some time with another group of missionaries from the north Quezon mission. We watched a movie The Christmas Oranges with them this time we had the whole group of senior missionaries.they had some of the missionaries sing and some of them gave talks. Then we gave them the same kind of gift that we gave the other missionaries. then we sang three songs for them Mele Kalikimaka, Sa Maybahay Ang Aming Bati ,Silent Night It was fun. Then we ate lunch with them all Philippine food it wasn't bad We really enjoyed being with the missionaries. Later that night we went across the street from the temple to the m.t.c to another group of missionaries. We watched a movie with them and gave them the same kind of gift they all seemed so grateful it was one of the most enjoyable Christmas Eve's I can remember.
Christmas day we went to the gazebo ( it is a common area by our apartments) everybody brought food and we watched a move and played games an ate and ate Ann made sweet rolls and some of the Filipino missionaries brought there dishes we had a lot of food and fun
