Today is Saturday Jan. 5 We are now on the after noon shift at the temple and in some ways we are enjoying it. Ann gets up at about 5am and goes for a walk with sister Jones they walk for about a mile or more something we could not do when we were on the morning shift. We can also call home on this shift and not have to worry about being late for work at the temple. Our church will start this Sunday at 7:30 am so we will have to leave our apt. no later than 7:00 am this year we will study the Doctrine and Covenants I am looking forward to our study in our Sunday school class .We have a sister that is a returned missionary and has taught seminary so she is a good teacher she teaches mostly in English and when the class members respond in tagalog she is good to explain what is said . We look forward to our Sunday school class and our priesthood but Sacrament meeting is hard just about every thing that is said is in tagalog except the sacrament prayers and the hymns. (And the wood benches get very hard on your butt). We are looking forward to seeing more of the country side outside manila. We have a couple of trips planed one to the Pagsanjan falls and the other trip to Corregidor island in Manila bay. They are both day trips. The Temple is closed for maintenance March 4th to March 18th and the people that have been organizing our trips will be gone home so we will have to figure out and plan a nice trip.
